Week 6 ECAA Marquee Match-Ups
By croverja | Posted on Jul 10, 2011
2/5 last week? God I suck at this. It’s no wonder they don’t even pay me. Maybe because I don’t pay them. ANYWAY, I look to improve once more and it shouldn’t be tough after that crap-filled week. Also, rollover looks to be late so these rankings may be slightly off but maybe you should just DEALWITHIT. Game #1 (11) Texas Vs (17) Army A clash of the titans OOC style, both teams march in undefeated, Texas 5-0 to Army’s 4-0. While Texas...

Another day, another dollar, this time coming off of a slightly impressive 4/5 performance. Looking to improve upon that, my week 5 games of the week: Game #1 (1)USC Vs BYU Both teams are 4-0 heading into this match, and I think I have a pretty good idea of who will come out 5-0. While there is no doubt that both of these teams are good, reigning champs in their respective conferences, USC is on another level. They played round 1 of last year’s playoffs in a 59-6...

After going a miserable 1/4 on predictions last time, I return once more, hoping that this time I’ll suck less. Game #1 (6)PSU @ (12)Iowa While the importance of this game is somewhat lowered by the fact that PSU and Iowa are in different divisions, both teams still view it as a very important game. There’s not a lot of leeway, one loss could be the one that keeps you out of the playoffs. Iowa has not made the playoffs in 4 seasons, but look to finally return...

Hello again blog. It’s me. The only guy to post here since June. But, I’ll be doing a new segment, listing the ECAA Games Of The Week for each week. I’ll be away for weeks 7-12, but that’s another story. All credit for this idea goes to wrstephen – it was entirely his. Additionally, he’ll be researching the games for me starting tomorrow. Today I’ll be the one doing as much. So, to begin… Game #1 (11)Hawaii @ (18)NMSU...

The ECAA rolls into yet another season. The game seems to be taking a turn for the more defensive side, but games are close as ever. It looks to be another intense season as the dreams of each team will be put on the line, week in and week out. The championship looks to be fairly open, with about 3 teams as front runners. Those teams being Michigan, USC, VT, while PSU and UGA are most certainly right there and a few other teams with hopes that have a chance of happening. First things...

And further yet we march, dwindling to a mere eight teams remaining in the hunt for glory. 3 more wins is all that is necessary, and every possible moment may leave you wondering what could have been. Fans of tradition will be rooting for USC, the ones of a high octane offense for Michigan, a shut down defense and power running game for PSU, and of course the ones that like the color green will have no choice but to be stuck with yours truly – Tulane. I apologize as picking just 3/4 matches...

The playoffs seem to be getting closer and closer every year, and this is an argument supported by having every 2 seed be a legitimate title contender. Other things, such as unranked LSU stunning #1 UGA, show that the ECAA is getting closer and closer to chaotic, parity filled playoffs. Looking at the 1 Vs 4 Match-ups, it doesn’t seem the ECAA is quite there yet, but it is inching ever closer. (1)USC Vs (4)BYU – There’s not a lot to this match-up. USC has won back-to-back...

We’re in the very last week of the season, and the scramble for a final few playoff spots is about to finish. Numerous teams have already clinched their spots, but others have no shot unless they take home conference glory. Having said that, my conference championship predictions: #7 Virginia Tech Vs #13 Florida State – FSU is currently in possession of the last At-Large. VT is safely in, so as far as they’re concerned this match-up is purely over seeding. VT has...

New week ten power ranking are out for the EFL and the Texans are ranked number one. Just two years removed from being the bottom feeders of the AFC south, the Texans now stand atop of the EFL. Even thou they are number one this team remains focus and not distracted by its recent success. Credited the success to the play of vet QB George Krammer, who signed with the Texans after spending seven seasons with the Colts.” I haven’t did very much this season, I’m just happy to be around...
